My name is Dr. Keith Darrow. I’ve worked in hearing health care for over 20+ years. I’m probably best known for my work as a neuroscientist and audiologist, but today my focus is on something very different:
Teaching people about how to prevent cognitive decline and dementia.
My mission is to improve your health, wellness, and ability to actively age through the medical treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus.
I am the Director and Founder of the Hearing and Brain Centers of America as well as the Excellence in Audiology network of offices throughout the country. Every day at these offices, I contribute to patients learning more about preventing decline through the medical treatment of their hearing loss and tinnitus.
In just a moment, I’ll show you how to get full access to my advice without having to wait a year for an appointment. But first, I’d like to quickly tell you the STORY of how I went from being a top local audiologist to being a renowned researcher and author focused on cutting-edge treatments for optimal brain health.
This is where my love of scientific research was born, and I ended up writing more papers than should be considered healthy. Throughout my career, I combined my love of research with my intimate knowledge of the brain… and ended up creating some lasting innovations in the field.
I was the first scientist to stimulate the auditory cortex of the brain with light rathern than sound.

But I never stopped doing my own independent research.
My published articles have been cited over 1,000 times, I’ve written articles and books on the neuroscience of hearing loss and tinnitus as well as on correlated diseases like: diabetes, glaucoma, heart disease, and hypertension.
Over the years, I’ve met so-called “hopeless” patient suffering from tinnitus. By properly stimulating his auditory nerve — almost by chance — this man made a complete turnaround. I was eventually able to give him the quiet peace of mind that has kept him alive to this day.
In working with him, I made some major discoveries that changed the course of my career. I learned what was missing from the profession of audiology, and what I could do with my background to change more lives faster.
In 2017, his best-selling book, ‘Stop Living In Isolation’, focused on the importance of early detection and treatment of hearing loss, tinnitus and associated cognitive disorders. He currently leads the Excellence In Audiology community of member clinics across the country and sets the standard for the highest level of patient care.
